Curtis Martin Appointed to Vatican Council
I’d like to share some exciting news with you!
The Vatican Press Office announced yesterday that Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Curtis Martin, President and Founder of FOCUS, as a consultor to the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization. He is one of six lay Catholics and one of two Americans named to the 15-member list of consultors tasked with advising the recently formed Vatican council. This council was established to promote the "New Evangelization" throughout the Church. Consultors are available to offer advice on various issues and participate in various meetings.
This appointment is an honor and affirmation of the highest regard and speaks not only to the tireless efforts of Curtis Martin, but also to all of those who have served with and supported FOCUS since it began in 1998. Without your partnership to bring the love of God to college students around the country, our work wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for your support and please join us in celebrating this great news!
If you would like to learn more about the New Evangelization or to see a video of Curtis delivering a keynote message, please click below. One aspect of the New Evangelization is to propose the love of Christ to friends, family and those God has placed in our path, and to do so in a manner that will help them understand this central message of the gospel. With this in mind, Curtis has written two booklets, each addressing challenges Catholics face in daily life. To receive your free booklet, please click below.
Please join with me in praying for God's blessing on Curtis’ service to the Church in this new capacity.
