Where I serve

What an incredible year it has been serving at the University of Oregon! It was such a gift to be called by God to be part of establishing the roots of FOCUS at Oregon this past year. With each of our student's hearts transformed to God's heart, it was a visible reality of the impact of our "yes" to the Great Commission. Through our daily choice of choosing God over self, we are able to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the world. The FOCUS community has been growing and it has been a blessing to see the student’s desire to grow in faith, knowledge, and authentic relationships with one another. These opportunities for building a community of faith have helped the students to challenge and support one another in their pursuit of sainthood. It has been a wild ride moving up the coast from the beautiful Arizona desert to the home of the Ducks to continue serving at the University of Oregon.

I am thrilled to announce the FOCUS team at the University of Oregon for this coming year! Kevin is a third year missionary who served the past two years at San Diego State University and is excited to join us in the Pacific Northwest for mission! Jordan is a first year missionary who recently graduated from Gonzaga University. Matthew is a first year missionary who graduated from UCLA in June. Both Matthew and Jordan were involved with their campus ministry in college. I am so inspired by their zeal to share the gospel with all those they meet!

My Story

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. I encountered the Lord in a beautiful way on my mission trip during my junior year of college.  I encountered the person of Christ through the Nicaraguan families and was drawn to their joy, innocence, and simplicity.  I recognized the need for true encounter on college campuses, specifically in the greek system.  I loved my sorority.  I didn't want to give it up to follow Christ.  The Lord showed me that I didn't have to give it up and met me within the Greek system.  His love radiated for the women in my house.  He desired for His light to shine within my sorority.  Jesus revealed my calling to be a FOCUS missionary my junior year of college.  Although many fears came with my yes, I knew I couldn't deny other young women the same gift that other FOCUS missionaries had given me. The light of Christ.

I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
