Where I serve

In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus said to His disciples, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."
I firmly believe that this call was not just for the disciples 2,000 years ago, but a call for all generations to go out and share Christ with those around us, and invite them into a personal relationship with the Lord. God has called me to take part in answering this mission by serving college students as a full-time missionary with FOCUS.

My Story

As a FOCUS missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life was transformed by Jesus when I was a student at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. Through my conversion at a FOCUS Conference called SEEK 2015, I came to find that the Lord wanted a personal relationship with me, and that His love for me was unconditional. I realized I didn't have to be perfect before I could go to Him with anything. He loved me just as I was, but too much to leave me where I was. He began healing my wounds and calling me to be the woman He made me to be.  It is an ongoing journey, and I want nothing more than to bring this peace and joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few and teaching them to do the same. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I've been constantly amazed by the different souls I've encountered since my own conversion, and throughout my involvement in FOCUS.

I recently served my first year as a FOCUS Missionary at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I am thrilled to be returning to Ball State for the 18'-19' school year! My first year as a missionary was one of the most formative and adventurous years of my life. As St. John Paul II once said, "Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure."

At Ball State I can typically be found leading Bible studies, mentoring and forming authentic friendships with students through one-on-one discipleship, attending and helping lead retreats, hanging around the Newman Center and Parish, and spending time with my teammates. You can also find me taking time for personal prayer and attending daily Mass, having good conversations with students over coffee or tea, hammocking or just being outside with people on campus, drawing and painting, and more recently learning to play my ukulele.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. My mission partners are a vital role to answering Jesus' call to make disciples of all nations. St. Thérèse of Lisieux once said, "Some give by going; Others go by giving." If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I would be honored to share this mission with you!
