Where I serve

God has called me to serve the college students at Northern State University (NSU) in Aberdeen, South Dakota!

My Story

Growing up cradle-Catholic and going to Catholic schools, I learned all of the how’s and the why’s of what we believed, but it still felt like something was missing. When I went off to college my faith became my own and I had the choice to go to Mass on Sunday or not. I found myself going to daily Mass and I became involved in a weekly Bible Study. The priest would often talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but that was something I was never told and I didn’t know what it meant or what it looked like. It wasn’t until my senior year of college that a team of FOCUS missionaries was sent to UW-Platteville. I was blessed to have one of the missionaries explain to me what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and even more than that, she helped me to develop my relationship with Him. My life has not been the same since I encountered Christ in such a personal way, and I have been blessed with the call to bring Him to others in a similar way.

Your Impact

It was through the influence of a FOCUS missionary that I developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and through my personal relationship I began to realize His unconditional love for me. I have been blessed with the call to do the same for others, to help them form and deepen their relationships with Him. Your prayers and support are what will help ensure this mission will be successful. Thank you so much for your generosity, and be assured it will not go unnoticed. You are in my prayers!

Build Virtuous Friendships

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

Teach Others to Share Christ

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
