I have been at the FOCUS Denver Support Center for almost seven years and currently work as FOCUS' Web Program Manger. While my work on the web has taken me through several different departments over the years, it has always been this area in which I am best able to serve FOCUS' mission.
A little over seven years ago, in January of 2009, I had proposed to Alzbeta and was a few short months away from graduating, moving away from the home I had known for four years (Benedictine College), and getting married. I applied for job after job, one them being a marketing position for the FOCUS national office. Before interviewing, I didn't know it was a missionary position, but luckily God knew where He wanted me, and where I would thrive. I never imagined that seven years later I would not only be fundraising my salary, but that I would feel so fulfilled by the work that I do.
In the seven years since I joined staff, Alzbeta and I got married, have added three little girls to our family (Antonia, 5, Colette, 3, and Mlada, 2 months), and are currently settled into a home in Lakewood, Colorado. We have been infinitely blessed by our time in FOCUS and by the community it offers us.
In the last several years, our web presence has exploded. We are able to provide resources for students and leaders on campuses in order to further the mission and their reach. In addition, because the web is so ubiquitous, we are able to reach and connect with those on non-FOCUS campuses, as well as people of all ages seeking to know and love the Catholic faith.
Without you, none of this would be possible. Just as I never imagined I would be a missionary for seven years, I also never imagined the incredible support both in prayer and financially that our family would receive from our mission partners. We are incredibly grateful for all of the sacrifices that you have made so that I can continue my work at FOCUS. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share more with you!
