Where I serve

This is my first year serving on FOCUS staff, and I'm excited and humbled that I have the opportunity to be part of the first team serving at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania (about an hour north of Pittsburgh).

My Story

Each person's most fundamental identity is being a beloved son or daughter of God the Father, but for much of my life, I would not have been able to tell you this. After struggling throughout high school with my identity and my Catholic faith, I arrived on campus my freshman year of college and met some FOCUS missionaries and their student disciples. These women met me where I was and called me higher - inviting me to bible study and to a weekend women's retreat. On this retreat, I encountered Jesus Christ in a way that changed everything, but unlike anytime before when I encountered the Lord, I had a community of missionaries and students supporting me and encouraging me to take steps closer and closer to the Lord. Because I had the support of these women throughout my time in college, I was able to keep saying "yes" to the Lord's call to get to know him more and ultimately say "yes" to His call to serve Him by becoming a FOCUS missionary myself.

Your Impact

As a FOCUS missionary, I have the unique privilege to go on mission, but I don't go alone. I get to take a team of supporters, who provide financial support through donations and spiritual support through prayers. I would be honored to partner with you on mission for Jesus Christ. Let me know what the best way to get in contact with you is, and I will be in touch to set up an appointment to tell you more about FOCUS and the mission!

"These twelve Jesus sent out, charging them...'He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.'" (Mt 10: 5, 40-42)
