Where I serve

God has called me to serve college students at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. You'll typically find me hanging out on campus, Mother Teresa Catholic Newman Ministry, or places around campus where I can meet students. I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life -- I think you should hear it sometime! Come find me and I'd love to share it with you. :)

My Story

I grew up being Christian back in my home country, Nicaragua, and in a search for a great adventure, I decided to go to NY for college. I had a tough and lonely time there, so after two years of being there I transferred to University of Miami in Florida. There, I had a conversion of heart at a retreat. I decided to follow God, never turn back and strive for holiness. From there, I started getting involved at the Catholic Campus Ministry and experienced true joy. Through CCM, I had the opportunity to go three times on mission trips to Haiti and those trips changed my life radically. I encountered God's love and mercy and grew a profound desire to love and serve others.

I was so convicted on doing international mission work after college. Little did I know that God was preparing my heart for college ministry. My calling to college ministry was strengthened by serving college students through leadership positions at CCM. Noticing the need for God and spiritual poverty and warfare at college campuses, made me grew a desire to bring Christ to college students that deep inside long for God's love and mercy. I went through really difficult and lonely times and made wrong decisions during college; and with God's grace, I want to change that in college students that are going through the same I went through.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I've been constantly amazed by the different souls I've encountered on campus.

Your Impact

College is a time and place where students can build an excellent foundation, formation and growth for the rest of their lives and if all of these are centered in God, this world would radically change. I want to be there for these students, invite them into an intimate relationship with Our Loving Father and inspire them to live a Christ-centered life in which they lead others to do the same. I want to help shape those who will be shaping the future of this world.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. I encourage you to join me on this powerful mission with your prayers and financial support, and help to build the kingdom of God at college campuses. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you. If you have any questions about the mission or prayer intentions do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]

Pray for this mission and I will be praying for you and your discernment! Thank you for having a generous heart considering being a mission partner. God bless!
