Where I serve

The Lord has called me to serve college students in my home state of Texas at Rice University as the Team Director this year! Jesus has completely transformed my heart through this mission and I hope to spend this year at Rice inviting students into a deeper relationship with Christ in this same way!

My Story

Growing up in a Catholic family, I thought I knew who Jesus was. I had a strong and active faith but deep down I always desired something more. I put my identity in many things such as my friends, the thoughts of others, and most of all, my dancing. God was a part of my life, but not the most important and I realized I felt an emptiness inside longing for something more.

I went looking for joy when I walked into the Catholic center at the University of North Texas. The first person I met radiated this unique joy and I knew I wanted whatever she had. She was a FOCUS missionary and invited me to her bible study. Throughout my time in college, I grew in virtuous friendships, a deepened prayer life, and found authentic joy. I started living a life for Christ and His Church and falling in love with Jesus in a whole new way. I realized what was missing in my life was a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I found my true identity in Christ thanks to a simple “yes” to God's invitation to share His love. It was this first yes that sparked a fire in me to say “yes” to sharing this joy with as many people as possible. In answering God's call to become a missionary, I have never felt more of who God has made me to be.

Your Impact

In saying, “yes” to the Lord’s call to be a FOCUS missionary, I made the decision to rely on spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me on the pursuit of souls for Christ. I found my true identity in Christ through the FOCUS missionaries’ guidance and virtuous friendships in college, and I pray for strength to continue the mission. Your prayers and support will only help build this mission for the Kingdom. If you’re interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you so I can include you in this great mission. Thank you & God Bless!
