Where I serve

God has called me to serve college students at Carnegie Mellon University. I'm often seen on campus hanging out with athletes and inviting students to follow Christ and allow Him to change their lives as radically as He changed mine!

My Story

When I began my time as an undergraduate at Harvard College, I wanted a relationship with Christ, but I was not convinced that living a life in total surrender to him and in communion with his Church could lead me to the fulfillment I was craving. So, I sought constant affirmation in my basketball career and social life, taking on many responsibilities in the name of using the talents the Lord had given me. However, after two and a half years of this exhausting lifestyle, I came to realize that doing things (even good things!) would never satiate my thirst to be known and loved and cared for. Praise God, I had a profound encounter with Christ while on pilgrimage to see Pope Francis during my junior year, and after this encounter I was able to turn to the support of the authentic, joyful FOCUS missionaries serving at Harvard. They taught me that the Lord didn't want my talents (they were already his!); he wanted me. Through the missionaries' time and friendship, they were able to model for me what a faithful, flourishing life could look like, and their witness to Christian fellowship completely changed my life. I now have the beautiful opportunity to gift myself back to service of the Lord as a FOCUS missionary at Carnegie Mellon University, reaching out to students who are experiencing similar things to what I did during my time as an undergraduate!

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you feel called to join me in mission, I would love to set up a time to talk as soon as possible! Your prayers and financial support will make reaching the souls of my generation possible. I am deeply thankful for your generosity, and you will be in my prayers!

Know, Love and Serve God

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

Build Virtuous Friendships

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

Teach Others to Share Christ

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
