“The human person differs from the other animals because his very existence is a response to a call to love, a call that evokes wonder in his heart and sets him on a quest for unknown horizons.”
– St. John Paul II
Originally from Flagstaff, Arizona and alumnus of Northern Arizona University, go Lumberjacks! I am in my ninth year as a missionary with the Formative Enterprises team to support Summer Projects. This year, we will host close to 650 students in ten different locations all over the US in a 10 week long formation during the summer. My team of five will help serve those missionaries to provide a transformative curriculum for participants. Check out the recap video from SP21 in Colorado Springs:
After three years of serving on college campuses in the West, I have been on the Missions team these past two years to enable authentic encounters between college students and the poor. With my unique role I have lived and served on-the-ground in Lima, Per to support programs with Movimiento de Vida Cristiana.
In college, studying nursing, faith was deserted to pursue what I believed would bring personal happiness. This led to superficial friendships, decreased motivation to pursue passions and a weakened moral sense. A personal invitation to a FOCUS conference called SEEK in 2013 allowed God to reveal that He wanted to provide the greatest joy found in life, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. By pursuing faith and seeing how the Lord wanted to walk next to me in my life I have been able to create strong friendships with those that push me to be a better person, grown in passion to enjoy each moment to the fullest and have rediscovered who I am through the love of God. The Lord desires to grow in relationship with each of us and I experience a continual transformation that I wish to share with students through mission trips
The Lord has proven through my experiences of nursing and faith that sharing the Gospel is needed more than ever, especially with the college-aged. I cannot tell you how EXCITED I am to be with FOCUS, sharing the Gospel message through formation and community at Summer Projects! Our job as missionaries is not to be the change created in students lives for Christ, rather the opportunity for Christ to be known and transform lives through the relationship we form with them. The Lord truly wants to be a part of your life, my life, everyone’s life! Join me this year in making it the best yet!
This mission has only been made possible by the generosity of family and friends that have allowed me to serve through their financial support. Prayerfully consider joining me financially on this journey to change the college culture.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
