My wife Hannah and I serve at the University of Pittsburgh. Go panthers! This is my fourth year on staff and Hannah's fifth year. We have previously served in Missouri (Southeast Missouri State), Chicago (Northwestern University) and Denver (Support Center). We are excited to be returning to Pitt for our second year!
Hannah and I both grew up Catholic but like many others did not know Jesus or have a personal relationship with our Lord. By God's grace and the invitation of FOCUS missionaries at our respective campuses (Hannah attended Loras College in Iowa and I attended Colorado State) we encountered Jesus Christ and became actively engaged in our faith. Through prayer, Sacraments, small group Bible studies and one on one mentorship we were both radically transformed and set on fire by the love of God. We have answered the Lord's call to go forth and make disciples on university campuses and offer the same invitation to college students which we had received: to know, love and serve God and by so doing attain eternal life.
Hannah and I rely entirely on God's providence through the spiritual and financial support of our mission partners. Only through the prayers and donations of people can we be on campus doing the work to which the Lord has called us. We would love to invite you into this mission and start a conversation with you about joining us with your love, prayer and financial support.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
