Where I serve

I will be serving as a missionary at Columbia University in New York City, NY! I'm incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work closely with students on campus, sharing both myself and the Gospel with them. I will be serving with four other missionaries at Columbia and living with the four missionaries at New York University The Columbia University team for 2017-2018.

My Story

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas without any religious practice or education. By the time I was attending high school, I could have been considered agnostic. I held any notion of God or religion as an archaic explanation made unnecessary by scientific thought and progress. In addition to this, the Christians I often encountered in Texas were unable to explain their faith in God and why they believed. After graduating from high school I attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for music performance and pre-medical studies (along with chemistry and music theory). Ironically it was here, at one of the most prestigious engineering and science schools in the nation, that God made Himself known to me. After attending a mass in Pittsburgh, I found myself thrust upon an almost year-long conversion culminating in my confirmation on Easter of 2014.

Knowing Christ and being Catholic have indescribably changed my life. FOCUS has presented me with the opportunity not only to share Christ with others, but also to share myself- my life and story. By working closely and living with them, I hope to share the importance and beauty of the Christian life while ultimately spreading the Word and building the Church.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
