Hey! My name's Ryan, and I'm so blessed to be able to call myself a FOCUS missionary.
Hey! My name's Ryan, and I'm so blessed to be able to call myself a FOCUS missionary.
God has called me to serve college students at Washington State University. Go Cougs!! You'll typically find me praying or hanging with the men and women God has graced my life with! I have a pretty recent story about how Jesus has impacted my life! I've shared a little of it below, but honestly that doesn't even scratch the tip of the iceberg. Come find me and I'd love to share it with you! I'll be around!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to know Jesus Christ deeper
in each moment than in the last, and to introduce others to Him and His great
love as well! My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more
than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing
message of the Gospel. On campus I will be focusing not only on that but on inviting students to life changing friendships and an incredible community. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet
us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing
deeply in a few. I look to the example of Jesus and the Saints He has given us
to find the best method of reaching the world. Through the intercession of our
blessed mother, who is Herself the owner and messenger of my own heart, I am,
and always will persevere in becoming who I am meant to be, just as St. Catherine of
Sienna said. "Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.
I was not always a practicing Catholic, however, In my time in college God graced me with the most impactful and important gift He could have given me, a relationship with Him. In my third year I met a beautiful woman who became my girlfriend and invited me to a relationship with Christ. Without that invitation, I would not be where I am today. I quickly realized that invitation was the single most important moment in my life up until this point (after my birth of course). So i've come to have an immense desire to be the one to say yes to God for the people in my life, and invite them, in turn, to that relationship as well. If you desire to know more about my mission, or about my testimony please feel free to contact me! I’d love to share the gritty details! God created us for a relationship of Love and to be servant leaders who cultivate, protect, and care for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ (Gen. 2 : 15), and He placed on my heart a great desire to help other men to come to know Christ, and therefore know love. I am so grateful to be able to pursue this most burning desire of my heart!
“You perceive it in the depths of your heart: all that is good on earth, all professional success, even the human love that you dream of, can never fully satisfy your deepest and most intimate desires. Only an encounter with Jesus can give full meaning to your lives.”-Saint John Paul II
When
I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual
and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've
been blessed with the opportunity to walk with the most amazing people who will
journey with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with
me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an
appointment. As Mother Teresa said, "Some people give by going on mission and others go on mission by giving!", and I'd be honored to share in this mission with you! Thank you
so much for your thoughts and prayers! May God bless you!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
