Where I serve

Georgia's on my mind!!! God is sending this Alabama gal next door to Georgia Southern University. As a full new team, our crew is stoked to see all the great things our Father has in store in Statesboro. I will have the honor of working hand in hand with the Greek women on campus! As a Chi Omega at my alma mater, I have a special place in my heart for the Greek Community, as natural born leaders and those who yearn for community. FOCUS is on campus to aid in forming not just a community, but a great one, centered on Divine Intimacy, authentic friendship, vital unity, and the great gifts of the Sacraments.

My Story

I was born into a Protestant, military family. My dad from the rolling Appalachian mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, and my mom a South Louisiana gal from Baton Rouge. From the get go, amazing cultures were integrated into our family life. We moved around the Pacific, being stationed in Japan, Hawaii, and Guam. When I was about 5, my parents made the great leap of Faith to bring our family into full communion with the Catholic Church. Long story short, thanks Scott Hahn, Trufant family, and many others!!!

As converts, I was raised with an incredible zeal for the faith, getting to experience the Universal Church in many different places around the world. My dad instilled in me an apologetic fervor, and in high school at a Catholic summer camp, I experienced Jesus Christ as one who knows and loves me so intimately.

Going to college, I could not wait to share the faith with others, and help build up the Catholic Newman Ministry on campus. It wasn't until I encountered my first FOCUS Missionary, Megan, however, that I began to understand the vision and importance of spiritual multiplication--that our faith is not our own, and MUST be taught and shared with others. It was there, in college, that I encountered the Sacraments regularly, not out of duty, but out of a thirst for Christ, and an answer to His thirst for me. My desire to participate actively in the New Evangelization as a full-time missionary came during my semester study abroad in Sweden; it was incredible to encounter the young people of the Church there, who wanted to change the world for Christ too! Our Faith is so beautiful, extensive, yet so simple. To live the Faith is not always easy, but it sure makes for the adventure of a lifetime!!

"To fall in love with God is the greatest of romances; to seek Him is the greatest adventure; to find Him the greatest human achievement." - Saint Augustine

Your Impact

As a full-time missionary, I have the privilege of placing full trust in God by fundraising my entire mission budget. This is the beauty of the faith - Jesus does not want us to rely on ourselves, He wants us to rely on Him for everything! In order to radically invest in student’s lives at Georgia Southern University, I cannot fulfill this call to mission alone. I need your help! By generously joining this mission, you will be accompanying me in fulfilling the great commission, winning souls for Christ, and giving hope to this world! If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you. I'd be honored to share this mission with you!
