7th Year Missionary, Denver Support Center

I’ve been called into a deeper service of the mission of FOCUS on our national Events team. I particularly plan & coordinate our departing staff conference “Go Forth” (250 attendees), build the run of show and direct production for our annual SEEK Conference (17,000 attendees).

We see it time and time again, that any time spent away from the noise of our daily lives allows us to better tune into what the Lord is doing in our hearts.  Through FOCUS’ events, thousands have come to encounter Christ in a deeper way and are being sent back to their campuses on fire with the Love of God and the ability to share Him with those they encounter each day.

My parents, Barb and Greg always set such a good example for me through their involvement in church ministry. We often spent weekends at church with the youth group. They instilled in me the value of serving others and giving time to God through the church. Naturally, I followed in their footsteps in high school and got involved with the high school ministry at my church Blessed Trinity. I found many of my friends there and had a lot of fun learning about God’s love for me.

Soon though, church became one of the many activities I was part of in addition to chorus, theatre, Spanish club, math club etc. I liked how it made me feel when  I was there surrounded by friends and affirmation. When I got to college, I quickly jumped into a lot of activities to combat the loneliness I felt during that time of transition. I was left empty because I needed more than that. I need to know Jesus and make him a part of every day. Luckily, Jesus sent me some amazing friends who deeply invested in me and showed me how faith is about a relationship with Christ and the church! These friends spent time getting to know me, inviting me to pray and sing with them, and helped me develop a life of prayer.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all people closer to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this unexplainable JOY to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, becoming a baby at Christmas, and spent most of His time in ministry investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered in my life.
