Where I serve

I am blessed to serve at the University of Minnesota Duluth!

Here is my team this year:

My Story

The Lord has been far too good to me throughout my life. I honestly cannot recall a time when I wasn’t aware that God was real and that He loved each of us. With that in mind, I definitely did not fully understand this truth or make the mental connection that He wanted to personally know and love me until I came to college.

At the University of South Dakota, surrounded by numerous old and new friends, my love of friendship and conversation grew. Guided by these friends, I was able to join a bible study and attend several national FOCUS conferences throughout my time at USD. It was during the conference I attended during my freshman year that I finally allowed Jesus to show me His love. He asked me make a decision. Up to this point, I had given Jesus a strong 50% in my life. He asked me to either give Him all of my life or to stop living halfway altogether, and I chose the first. I had no idea what that one “Yes” in 2013 would mean. In fact, I was sure Jesus would not want me to be a FOCUS missionary because I assumed He had a very specific desk job for me somewhere.

In a not-so-shocking turn of events, I was very wrong. I have never been so excited to be wrong in my life, as I now have a beautiful career that allows me to spread His love through my two main loves: friendship and conversation.

Put very simply, Our Lord has given me entirely too many blessings than I know what to do with myself, so I want to and need to share them. And since He brought me to His love through the power of friendship, I intend to bring others to Him in the same way.

Your Impact

This is not just a fun job that I am doing because I love Jesus. This is an urgent mission for souls that has been ignored for far too long. Our world needs to know Christ, and the opportunity for this often starts when individuals make a decision about how they are going to live their lives. These decisions happen through the power of deeply impactful friendships that are formed during the college years. I beg you for your prayers and support as I allow Christ to use me in these friendships in order to show His love to as many students as possible. You are the main component in this mission, and I thank you endlessly in advance for what you do.
