The Philanthropy Officer - Campus Advancement (POCA) builds relationships at individual FOCUS campuses by engaging benefactors, chaplains, alumni, and other community members. The POCA will meet face-to-face with potential benefactors, inviting them to take part in our mission through monthly or annual giving. The POCA will also build and work with a council of community leaders who will advocate for FOCUS through referrals and events. This is a great position for anyone interested in a career in development. You will be supported by a team of seasoned development professionals who have a deep love for sharing the mission of FOCUS and the joy of the Catholic faith.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to grow in understanding of the fundraising/development field. This position requires the ability to function as an effective team member, working together to achieve our goals to help FOCUS expand. Other responsibilities include collaborating with other FOCUS departments, supporting other efforts within the Mission Development Department, and other duties that further relationships between FOCUS, students, benefactors and community members.
The POCA position is compensated within the guidelines of FOCUS’s funding model. Total compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
