President, Pacific Equity Management
Frederic was born and raised in California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California, a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley and an Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University. After working at Goldman Sachs for five years, in 1978 he founded Pacific Equity Management, an investment firm where he is still president.
He is currently on the board of directors for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, Institute on Religion and Public Life (First Things Magazine), Patients Rights Council, Thomas More College of Liberal Arts and the Witherspoon Institute. He is also on the board of advisors of the Cardinal Newman Society and Via International. He is a member of Legatus and Philanthropy Roundtable.
He is married to Peggy Clark and has two adult children, Catherine and Frederic. Since 1995, he has been a volunteer teacher at Saint Peter’s, a San Francisco inner-city school. He teaches a course entitled Life 101 and provides scholarships to their eighth-grade students so that they can attend Catholic high school.
