With a business degree from Southern Methodist University, Judy Dunn built her early career at EDS, driving sales in health care, federal government and financial areas, and IBM, serving in financial marketing and sales. Originally from Texas, Dunn moved to Detroit in the 1980s and began to collect wine. Pursuing this passion with her business sense, Judy purchased Decanter Imports, a wine distributor, and served as President and Owner for 15 years before selling the company in 2005.
A strong proponent for service and missionary work, Judy has worked for over 20 years with the Daughters of Charity on their local Detroit board and volunteered countless hours with some of the city’s homeless children. She has served on many mission trips with the Missionaries of Charity on locations around the world.
Today, Judy splits her time between Detroit, Michigan and Aspen, Colorado, where she fulfills her love for all the winter sports and the mountains. She is excited to begin a new Legatus chapter in Aspen in the coming months.
She currently serves on the Board of Regents for the Augustine Institute and the Board of Directors for the Austin County State Bank in Bellville, Texas.
