Mike Bishop

Senior Vice President, First Tennessee Capital Markets Group

Mike has over 30 years of experience in the investment banking field, serving institutional clients at First Tennessee Capital Markets Group in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mike’s passion is engaging men to grow in their spiritual journey. Over a decade ago, he joined several good friends to form a ministry called Fishers of Men (FOM), which encourages inactive Catholic men to reconnect and grow in their faith. FOM spawned weekly fellowship meetings in over a dozen parishes, an annual diocesan-wide Morning of Spirituality, a three-year curriculum called Deep “C” Fishing: Foundations in Catholic Theology and a diocesan weekly lunch series hosted by Deacon Jeff Drzycimski, co-host of the syndicated Catholic Café radio show. In addition to his work with FOM, Mike is involved with the Catholic Diocese of Memphis’ Bishop’s Advisory Board, Lumen Civitatis, the Cursillo movement and Serra Club. He also studies the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and supports the ministries of his friends at EWTN, Magnificat and Verbum.

Mike (a.k.a. “Bish”) lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with his wife, Julie, and has three daughters and a son-in-law. He is blessed with a large extended family and enjoys hosting “Bish Bashes” for family and friends.
