Jesus has called me to serve as the team director at Montclair State University!  You can usually find me drinking coffee at all hours of the day, on campus playing spikeball and ultimate frisbee or in the Newman Center. Jesus has transformed my heart and I would love to get to know you and share my story sometime!

I grew up Catholic, going to Mass with my family on Sundays and youth group events throughout the week. Early in my high school career, I attended a retreat that totally changed the faith for me. I learned the power of mercy and redemption through confession, the power of prayer and most importantly that I was a beloved daughter of Christ. However, this new confidence in our faith only lasted for a short time before I fell back into the ways of the world. During my late high school and early college years, my life was consumed by attempting to live the typical movie “college lifestyle:” of drinking, partying and living by my own standards. This led to many moments of embarrassment, loneliness, and emptiness.

Through the guidance of authentic friends, an amazing campus missionary and the Lord s love, I was set back on the right path. Since then, I have allowed the Lord to transform my life. I redeveloped my relationship with Jesus, and realized that there is no other way to live other than for Christ. I felt the call to mission, the call to love my brothers and sisters in a radical way, so I applied to FOCUS. Through prayer, the Lord made it quite obvious that he wanted me to say yes to FOCUS, and yes to Him everyday.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
