God has called me to serve as a FOCUS missionary at the United States Naval Academy! I am so excited to cultivate deep friendships and share the transforming love of Christ with the students there. 

Throughout high school, I always felt like I was grasping at faith as I did not understand the consistency of practice necessary for faith to grow and deepen. Coming into college, one of my priorities was to grow closer to Christ, but I quickly slipped into putting my identity in grades, friendships, activities, and other s perceptions. I was lonely and struggled to find the regular joy in my life. By the grace of God, I found myself in several supportive Christian communities. I was inspired by young men and women practicing their faith with a profound depth. Once getting more involved with a FOCUS Bible study and discipleship, I began to understand that faith is not something that happens overnight; each day I invite Jesus into my life, just as He invites me into His. 

Over college, my heart has been transformed in many ways. God no longer feels like a far-off abstraction, and I abide with Him throughout my day. I have grown to recognize how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all move in my life. I have freedom in knowing that my identity is in being a daughter of God, and not in the outputs of my life. Truly, as it says in Psalm 16, In Your presence there is fullness of joy. It is my great desire to share this fullness of life and faith with college students! I am humbled to have received this opportunity to serve and reach others, as I have been intentionally pursued by so many. I am excited to devote myself to the mission that Jesus gave to all of us: to share His love and make disciples. 

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
