Where I serve

God has called me to serve students at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo Michigan, Which is about a 30 hour drive from my home town in Idaho. I am so blessed in this opportunity to serve the Lord and his children in Michigan. I am very excited to see what this coming year has in store form me and where God is leading me.

My Story

I was born in Redmond Washington but moved to a small town in Idaho when I was 7 where I have lived since then. I grew up with 7 siblings so growing up was pretty chaotic, somehow my saint of a mother kept us in line for the most part while with my dad bringing us up in the faith and teaching us to love Jesus Christ. I went to the university of Idaho where I studied mechanical engineering for 4 and a half years and played club volleyball while I was there. My last semester on campus Idaho was sent Focus missionaries which is were my life turned around. I was raised in the faith, loving Jesus Christ but he was never really the center of my life and that has all turned around since I said yes to God. One of the missionaries at Idaho told me I would be a good missionary and I should apply. At the time I was like "sure, maybe" while thinking that wasn't going to happen, But God had different plans. He kept bugging me about applying until I finally gave in and went to the interview weekend. I went into the weekend thinking I was 100% sure I didn't want to be a missionary but by the end of the weekend i was 100% sure that being a Focus missionary was what God was calling me to do and what i now wanted to do! God Just reached down and touched my heart, it also helped that all the people I met at the weekend were amazing! Ever since saying "Yes" to God I have been able to put him first in everything I do and I have never been more blessed than I am now.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. Kind of a scary prospect until you start seeing how God provides, and then its just mind blowing. I've already been blessed with more people than I imagined who were ready and able to support this ministry through me. If you are interested in joining me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to have a chance to bring you into this mission with me.
