Where I serve
Going into my fifth year as a missionary, I have served at NAU in Flagstaff AZ, BHSU in Spearfish SD, and at UNC in Greeley Colorado. This year I am excited to be returning to my hometown to serve as the Team Director at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs!
My life is a testimony to the tenderness and constancy of our God. As I left for college, I wasn't sure of what my future would hold. Through a series of events my sophomore year, I came to say yes to Jesus' love in a new and radical way: I started to attend daily mass, lead bible studies; I became involved in FOCUS discipleship, and I got confirmed into the Catholic Church! At one point, my junior year, I began to lose vision of Christ's love for me. Because of a FOCUS missionary, I signed on to go to SEEK - FOCUS' national conference, where I encountered in an intimate way God's passionate love for me. My encounter with Christ and His Mercy at SEEK changed everything, and my adventure with Jesus was renewed and deepened.
"I came so that they might have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10
This adventure has taken me to many amazing places blessed with extraordinary friendships, including serving as a camp counselor at Camp Wojtyla in the Colorado Rockies, going on mission trips to Italy, Spain, Mexico, and El Salvador. I said yes to FOCUS because I am absolutely convicted of Christ's life, joy, mercy, and love. I desire to love Christ and make him loved. I have answered the call to be a missionary and I am overjoyed to be able to help lead others into an encounter with God and to journey with them on a lifelong way of mercy, grace, peace, blessing, and joy into the deeps of Jesus' Heart, which alone can satisfy.
My team this past year at UNC, in Greeley Colorado!
My first two teams. I love them all dearly and am excited to see how the Lord continues to bless them and their missions!
From teaching in middle and high schools to walking around a college campus, to chatting with strangers on a mountainside, I have been convicted of the fact that all people want to be happy. Sadly, in their search for meaning, a majority of people turn to superficial friendships and worldly desires that always leave them empty - thirsting for more. As a FOCUS missionary, I am on the front lines of a spiritual battle for the hearts, minds, and souls of a generation. In a culture that fails to keep its promises of happiness through worldly desires, I am privileged to share the eternal joy of Christ Jesus and His Love. This mission is difficult and beautiful and worth every trial. And I cannot do this work alone. Will you consider joining me in saving souls for Christ and helping them on their path to eternity?
"As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.
I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they may also be in us." John 17: 18-21
Many Saints have said that "Some give by going, others go by giving, but without both there would be no mission." Without your "yes" to God, this mission would not be possible. So thank you! Your support will enable me to lead Bible studies; to invite students into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church; and to invite students into discipleship, mentoring and teaching them how to invest deeply in others, build a prayer life, be formed in the faith, and make disciples of all nations. If you are interested in joining me in this mission and on this narrow way, please let me know of the best way to reach you; I would love to either meet with you or call you and share how you can change lives and hearts for Christ. I can be reached at [email protected] I would be both humbled and honored to share this mission with you!
FOCUS now has over 700 missionaries, at over 160 college campuses. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for this vital mission!
