For the last decade I have been blessed to serve college students and parishioners across the US and Europe in this mission full-time.  As a missionary I walk with others, sharing the faith and leading them to a deeper relationship to know Christ and share Him with others.  After launching FOCUS’ international mission in Austria in 2016 we spent five wonderful years in Europe. In 2021, the Lord made it clear it was time to move back to the USA and in my own discernment, my heart was set on fire hearing about the work of my colleagues serving in parishes across the country.  With great trust in God, we moved our family 5,000 miles from Dusseldorf, Germany to Menlo Park, CA. I now get to come alongside parishioners at St. Raymond to bring them the hope and joy of the Gospel of Christ and invite them into the call of living as a disciple of our Lord.

A theme in my faith journey has been authenticity. My junior year at University, God placed a few missionaries and four other women who, like me, were wrestling with the unfulfillment that the college lifestyle could offer; they too were seeking authentic Catholic friendships. Fast forward to the August before my senior year. You know those moments when God completely bursts through the noise of your heart? It was a summer pilgrimage to Spain and my heart was wrestling for deeper conversion; to know Him more personally. Well, God answered that prayer in a big way. He put it on my heart to serve him as a missionary, to bring the Gospel to the furthest corners of the towns and cities and invite others into lifelong discipleship. He was asking me to finally, for the first time, live out the call of my own daughter-hood and come alive in His call.  As a missionary I am reminded daily of my continued conversion and what a joy it is to follow the will of God! As one of my favorite women, Saint Teresa of Avila said, “Lord save us from gloomy Saints” ! May we come alive, living out our YES to Christ!

My time in FOCUS has led me to places and experiences far beyond what I ever could have imaged. As a wife and mother of three young boys, I have experienced a deepening of both vocation to be a mother and my desire to be a missionary, go hand in hand.  In the last 10 years I have served as missionary, Team Director, Philanthropy Officer in Texas, Austria and Germany; and now a Parish Missionary and Regional Director in California.

The desire to serve Jesus faithfully and trust him radically is what drew me to FOCUS. As a missionary, I get the opportunity to do this by inviting others to join me in mission through financial support. It has been nothing but a gift to partner with families and individuals around the country.
