Where I serve

I will be serving my second year with FOCUS back at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley! During my first year at UNC, the Lord poured out many blessings into my life. I have met some of the most vibrant young women and have worked to build a foundation rooted in Christ with each of them. I am so excited to return to campus this year and see what the Lord desires for those that I currently work with and for those I have yet to meet! It truly is a blessing to serve in my home state near family and friends, sharing in this mission with each and every one of you is such a gift and I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for this year and beyond.

My Story

“More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” -Romans 5:3-5

I have been Catholic my whole life, attending Catholic grade school and high school where I learned about the person of Christ and the history of the Church. But it wasn’t until I got to college and tried to push my relationship with Jesus as far away as possible that I realized that I needed to run back toward Him.

As a former lacrosse player for the University of Oregon, I was constantly in the pursuit of excellence. Due to the increasing demands of Division I athletics, the time that I took for God began to rapidly decrease as I attempted to pursue excellence in school, lacrosse, and maintain some sort of a social life. I was trying to fulfill myself by excelling in the ways of the world, but instead I found myself struggling and empty. It wasn’t until a FOCUS missionary invited me to adoration one night that I rediscovered the answer to my emptiness was in seeking a personal relationship with Jesus. The coolest thing is that He met me right where I was at. My relationship with Christ continues to prove to me what was shared to us by Saint Paul in Romans 5:3-5. Hope in Him and His mission for my life is not disappointing, but so fulfilling. The love that pours into our hearts through Him is something that I want everyone to experience. Once I invited this great gift of His love into my life, I realized how many other athletes and students are enjoying the successes of life, but feel so unfulfilled and empty on the inside. This is the main motivator to my ‘yes’ to Christ. I want to help guide students into a personal relationship with Him and help them to realize that He can fill you like nothing else in this world can.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
