God has called me to serve the students of Emporia State University. I am beyond excited to meet as many students as I can and pursue Christ with them.
I grew up a good little boy. I was always first to raise my hand in Sunday school and in youth group. I thought I was always way farther ahead of my peers in my relationship with God. My problem was that I was not developing a personal relationship with him. My prayer life was dull at best. I allowed my pride to convince me that I knew everything I needed to for my salvation.
Then my world was turned upside down when I began to research Jesus and his early Church. Seeing how fulfilled they were in receiving the body and blood of Christ brought me into a deeper personal relationship I didn’t believe was possible.
For the majority of my life when I was asked if I had considered mission work I replied “I’ll just support others, I’m not interested in that kind of work”. The Lord called me out of my complacency by strongly encouraging me through my prayer and the prayer of others. I have heard his call to bring his sons and daughters to him.
It is very exciting to be supported in the same way the apostles were. Relying on the support on my mission partners helps me to be even more dedicated to the mission and also giving them the opportunity to take part in my ministry. If the apostles needed mission partners, I most definitely need them to reach the world. Please consider helping me set the world on fire.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
