God has called me to serve at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. As a Greek missionary, I serve students in Greek life, specifically fraternity men. I am excited to share the Gospel on the college campus--the most crucial time in a young person's life.
I grew up Catholic—going to Mass on Sundays, going to CCD on Wednesdays, and reciting prayers before bed. As I got older, this upbringing led me to going on church trips and attending youth group in high school. In college, I immediately got involved at the Newman Center and everything it had to offer. I was going to events there multiple times a week, but I was just going through the motions. I didn’t have what really matters—a relationship with Jesus.
That was until a FOCUS missionary taught me how to pray with Lectio Divina. I always struggled with not knowing how to pray, but Lectio Divina taught me that Jesus speaks to us through the scriptures. It allowed me to hear Him by reading and meditating on His Word. By senior year, in prayer I was feeling a tug on my heart that I needed to follow God’s will instead of my own (John 6:38). I began to ask, “Jesus, what is Your will for me?” What better way to fulfill the call to make Jesus known to the world (Matthew 28:19) than to serve college students through FOCUS!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with an amazing group to support me through prayers and financially as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
