God has called our family to serve college students. After working in ministry and mission for 11 years (7 years in parish ministry and 4 years with FOCUS), our current mission is to form and equip missionaries to bring the Gospel to Tennessee, South Carolina and Mississippi where Jonathan leads the Team Directors and their teams on eight campuses as a Regional Director. Through this mission dozens of missionaries are raising up students to run alongside them in inviting others into a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

Please pray for the students and missionaries at Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Tennessee, University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Clemson University, University of South Carolina and Mississippi State.

When we first said ‘yes’ to serving as missionaries with FOCUS, we were convicted that, in the words of the Fatima visionary Sr. Lucia:

The decisive battle between the Lord and the kingdom of Satan will be over marriage and the family.

We also believed that living in the midst of college students who often came from difficult family situations would allow our family to enter key mission field where the battle between Heaven and Hell is fought daily over those who would one day be fathers and mothers of their own families. It has been here that we have been given the opportunity to raise up young men and women to be committed missionary disciples of Jesus even before entering into their vocation.

After serving for years in this ‘battleground’ we are even more convinced of the urgent need for the Church to invest time, people, and resources in the college campus. We have been able to share the love of the Father and seen deep repentance, conversion and miracles unfold before our eyes in the lives of the students the Lord has brought us into relationship with and have also seen the incredible impact other young Catholic missionaries have had in the work of evangelization to college students.

As a family, God is working through each of us (including our children!) to reveal to students and missionaries His love and desire for them to live life as an essential part of His family, the Church.

When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help make this mission possible and fruitful. Our family is not alone in this mission. We have been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with us as we serve on campus.
