To begin my first semester with FOCUS as a full-time missionary (Spring 2016), God sent me to the lovely land of Fargo, ND to serve through the St. Paul Newman Center on the campus of North Dakota State University. God has called me to invest even deeper with these particular students and I am blessed to be serving my 3rd year with FOCUS on this campus (Fall 2017-Spring 2018). NDSU is home of the Bison, 15,000 college students, & a thriving Catholic community. Please pray for our mission here. God wants to reach each and every single one of these 15,000 souls and us missionaries want to be an instrument in that!
Jesus calls each of us in a unique way to serve Him in this world. Just like He called each of His twelve apostles over two-thousand years ago. One by one, He chose and commissioned them to help build his church by spreading the Good News. Jesus called them by name: Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip. . . then He called out my name very clearly during a SEEK conference in January 2015. During these national conferences there is a night of confession & adoration. While I was resting in His beautiful presence in front of the most Blessed Sacrament, God gave me a heart "on fire for mission" and asked that I give up everything to follow Him. He desired me to join FOCUS: to lead college students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church by becoming a full-time missionary. He equipped me for this mission by blessing me with nursing skills and a strong faith to help heal the "invisible wounds" that students bear on college campuses. I desire to be a vessel that allows the Holy Spirit to work through me to bring eternal life to souls!
When I decided to live out this new adventure of being a missionary, I trusted that God would provide for my every need. With this beautiful ministry, I am able to do what I do because of the generous spiritual and financial support of mission partners. By having a support team, I have met so many amazing people and have strengthened so many relationships with friends and family because we are indeed a TEAM working together to help save souls. If this interests you or if you would like any further information, please let me know how I can contact you and we can schedule an appointment together! It would be an honor to meet you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
