God has called me to serve college students at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Go Dukes!! I would love to share my story with you about how Jesus captivated me and truly changed my life in college.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ and allow them to encounter His deep and personal love for them.  I placed my worth in the things the world tells us will make us happy and I was never fully satisfied. I attended a retreat where I encountered Jesus divine mercy for me in reconciliation and the Mass. From this encounter, I received my true identity as God s beloved daughter. We were created to be loved intimately by God and His Love radically pursues each of us at every time and in every place.

As I went off to college at the University of Maryland, I was on the cusp of my faith. I did not know if I truly wanted to or even knew how to live a life centered on Christ.  Through joining a FOCUS Bible study, I formed authentic friendships with other freshmen women that became my best friends and walked alongside me throughout college. The FOCUS missionaries at UMD loved me deeply and constantly led me to Jesus love that continues to heal and redeem me everyday. The missionaries built me up and equipped me to share the joy of true freedom in Christ with others. I said yes to leading a Bible study my sophomore year and it was the greatest gift to witness Jesus radically change the lives of the women I was blessed to walk.

My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few.  It is through this little way of evangelization that I hope to find the best method of reaching the world. I have seen the fruits of this method modeled by Jesus at UMD and am so blessed to continue at James Madison University.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
