We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Some go by giving and some give by going.
Without both – the Mission is impossible.”
– St. Mother Teresa
In praying with the Woman at the Well (John 4: 4-42), God called me to serve college students by asking me to “give them a drink” of the living water I’ve experienced. I have worked with students in Nashville, TN, and in south Louisiana, and the past two years I served as Team Director at The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Edmond, OK! FOCUS’ first year at UCO was my first year as Team Director and we’ve seen the program grow exponentially in the two years since arriving in Oklahoma. I am extremely blessed to be on mission alongside Fr. Alex Kroll, our chaplain and our campus ministry team. The Archdiocese of Oklahoma is fathered by Archbishop Coakley who was ordained a priest in the diocese of Wichita (home sweet home)!
In our upcoming third year at UCO, I have so much hope for the fruits yet to come. My husband, Dillon, and I, are thrilled to get to share the gospel of marriage and family life with the students we encounter on campus. Through focusing on divine intimacy, the team and I pray to deeply invest in a few students and teach them to do the same – so that the mission of Jesus Christ may continue to spread throughout the world.
Blessed Stanley Rother, Pray for Us!
Born and raised Catholic in the great city of Wichita, Kansas I learned many facts about Jesus and the Church, but was not transformed by His words until the summer before my Junior year of college. It was an encounter in Adoration to understand His Merciful heart that lead me to attend a FOCUS Bible study at Wichita State. There, I met amazing women and friends who wanted to become saints – and to lead others to the One, Holy, Catholic Church. As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ through the sacraments available in the Catholic Church. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this JOY to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few men (Peter, James and John). In leading small group Bible studies and discipleships, I am trying to imitate His method of evangelizing the world through knowing, loving, and caring for the students around me. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus and can’t wait to see what He continues to grace this year at UCO!
As children of God, we have all received the baptismal call to be missionaries for Christ. When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. (Although working with college students has its perks, as we know, college students can barely afford ramen noodles, let alone paying for a mentor or discipleship program). Which is where I’ve seen God’s generosity through the support of adults and peers. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me financially as I serve on campus.
This mission is nothing if it is not soaked in prayer, and so I ask you to please pray for me. If you are interested in partnering with me financially or spiritually please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you. Thank you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
