"What really matters in life is that we are loved by Christ and that we love Him in return. In comparison to the love Jesus, everything else is secondary. And, without the love of Jesus, everything is useless." - St. John Paul II

Where I serve

I currently serve at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN! You can find me with students drinking absurd amounts of coffee, reading the next great American novel, or having a lot of zeal for Christ and His Church. I am pictured above with my team: Steph, Alan, Jen, and Adam!

My Story

College was a time of stretching for me. I started freshman year of college completely alone, with the high of academic achievement and vainglory from high school quickly waning. Desperate for friends of any kind, I signed up for a Bible study at the organization fair. The invitation to coffee with a (now) dear friend changed the course of my life, my eternity. Through the power of true and authentic friendships, relationships centered around encountering the person of Christ, I began to seek more.

My search brought me into a small Catholic Mass across town, sandwiched between two friends as the Consecration took place. Suddenly, mystically, my soul was made aware of the Real Presence of Christ, the miracle of Calvary made present before my very eyes. Again, my life, my eternity was changed forever. I eagerly began the process of learning more about the Church - resulting in my Confirmation and First Eucharist on April 15, 2017.

(I would love to share more, if you're interested. It's truly my miracle from Heaven!)

A month before being received into the Catholic Church, I went on a FOCUS mission trip to Ireland. On this trip, a missionary showed me the true intimacy that Christ desires to have with each one of us. Her living witness to a relationship with Christ, her boldness in sharing truth inspired me.

For the first time in my life, faith was presented as an adventure, as the fulfillment my soul was longing for. As I embark on this new journey, I can not help but notice how vital personal relationships were in leading me to the person of Christ. Had I not had friends inviting me to pursue the transcendent, God alone knows where I'd be. College was a time that changed me forever, in the literal sense of the word, and I owe that change to those willing to make the sacrifice to walk with me in faith. When the time came to give my "yes" to FOCUS, it was an easy assent.

College students deserve to know the transformative power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. FOCUS allows me the chance to have those conversations with the next generation of leaders, of believers. Won't you help me bring the light of Christ to them?

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.

"The future is in your hearts and in your hands. God is entrusting to you the task, at once difficult and uplifting, of working with Him in the building of the civilization of love." - St. John Paul II
