Where I serve

Jesus has called me to serve his people in a totally new way on a very different platform. I am a third year missionary now serving as a marketing fellow at Denver Support Center (FOCUS HQ), in Denver, Colorado! I will be creating and posting for our media communications. I am excited to start my new role in sharing the Gospel message now, with millions of people. It is such a gift to be able to have the opportunity to do this through you all, my partners in mission.

I had a tug to apply for the marketing team after my two years serving at DePauw University. I had the opportunity to help run the Tiger Catholic Instagram for two years and kept posing the question, "How can I engage with our students on social media and how can I share the Gospel with them when they sometimes don't even want to meet in person?". My teammates from last year in the photo below really supported the ideas and sharing with students on campus. I am convicted that there are many ways we can share the Gospel and through social media is a HUGE opportunity, especially when so many people are fighting addiction to it.

My Story

I grew up in the faith, but never fully understood what it meant to be a practicing Catholic. My junior year at Bowling Green State University was when I first encountered FOCUS after some really challenging life events. I was able to understand how beloved I was by our Lord at a retreat and that set the course of the rest of my life. I dove right in and wanted everything there was to do with being Catholic. I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunities God had given me the rest of my time in college.

Not long after was when I felt God tugging on my heart to give my whole life to having a zeal for the souls on the college campus, a soul just like mine that was longing for Jesus. I really desired other students to experience the same reversion that I did in my heart and before I knew it, I applied to be a FOCUS missionary to fulfill that deep longing in my missionary heart.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead as many people as I can to Christ, especially the lost souls of students on campus. My life has been completely and beautifully transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel through intentional and loving relationships. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I've been constantly amazed by the different souls I've encountered on campus and I now have the gift to share the truth through helping encounter souls on social media.

So much can be accomplished with the technology we have today. Unfortunately, social media has had a negative impact on our society leading people to search for happiness in places they won't be able to find it like pornography and just consuming only what the world has to offer. There needs to be a change in our culture for people to consume what Jesus has to offer, not the world.

Your Impact

I truly believe that God provides for us when we let him and abandon our lives to His will. Being with FOCUS for 3 years now has taught me about that dependence on Him. I have several people who financially and spiritually support me on this mission for Christ and I would love to invite you into this mission as well. I would love to share more with you over coffee, a phone call, video call, or even an email. Let me know how we can connect!
