We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Nice to meet ya! My name’s Marissa, and I work in our accounting department!
After serving as an on-campus missionary at South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!), I’m excited to continue serving this mission as support staff through the accounting department in Golden, CO! I’m thrilled to utilize the skillset God has given me in a stewardship capacity.
Time and time again the Lord has called me into a deeper relationship with Him and to surrender every part of my being, and each time it has formed me to become the woman God created me to be. He has shown me that truly nothing is possible without Him. Christ has placed people in my life who hadn’t met Him, and I realized how desperately these souls were searching for authentic friendship in order to find our Lord.
The most urgent crisis in our time is the battle for lost souls. Evangelization is not an option, and I cannot believe the Lord has called me to serve Him in this beautiful, humble, and radical manner. I hope to see souls all across the country become transformed, to see that they do not have to be perfect, that they can fall, that life is not so cut and dry, it’s hard and it takes work, and it’s completely okay to not be okay – to fall at the feet of Christ and surrender your hour, day, even life to Him. We have such a mentality of having to succeed, but the only way we can is if we understand that Christ won it all long before we ever had the chance.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
