Where I serve
God has called me to serve as the Team Director at Valparaiso University after two years serving at UW-Madison. I'm excited to be able to share the Gospel with the students at Valpo and explore a new state as well!
I was raised Catholic and went to Mass regularly growing up, but did not see my faith as anything more than a set of rules to follow to be a good person. For most of my time in high school and college, my identity was centered on my performance in school and in sports. I continued to go to Sunday Mass and even joined a FOCUS Bible study as a freshman at UConn, but still found myself reluctant to dive deeper into my relationship with Jesus.
As I continued through college, I began to see that everything I was chasing, whether it be a good job in economics, a high GPA, or a track time, only brought temporary satisfaction that would leave me wanting to work harder to find something "better" for the next time.
My friendship with a FOCUS missionary while at UConn changed everything, as he truly invited and challenged me to place Jesus at the center of my life. By teaching me how to build a habit of daily prayer, I came to know Jesus in a deeper way, and began to see the world through the lens of a man of faith.
As a FOCUS missionary now, my goal is to lead others to Christ and walk with them as they strive to live virtuously in our world today.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
