Where I serve

This year I have the great privilege of serving the cadets in Colorado Springs, CO. These men and women will soon become incredibly influential leaders in the military and country at large. I get to invite students into deep, intimate, and personal relationships with Jesus through bible studies, one-on-one mentorship, mission trips, and on-campus outreach.

My Story

Growing up as a cradle Catholic in a very devout family, we went to church as a family, ate meals together, and prayed the rosary along with other prayers together every night. I always knew faith was important, but often took it for granted. It was something I inherited, so I never asked “why” I believed until the need to confronted me.

A FOCUS missionary invited me into a bible study my freshman year of college. I said yes a little reluctantly because all I could think of was stereotypes of bible freaks. However, this was the beginning of my continuing search and realization that my faith cannot merely be an inheritance from my parents. It has to be a personal decision. A yes or no to God.

I knew the rules and truths about the Catholic faith, but the key aspect I failed to understand up to this point was how loving and merciful our God is. He created us for a relationship with him which is cultivated through time spent in prayer and complete trust in his plan for our life.

Complete trust (faith) in God seems to be an ongoing challenge in my faith journey. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the field of Architecture, I found great satisfaction in the design projects by solving the details through drafting the master plan. It is my dream to continue on to get my master’s degree and ultimately a license in this profession. However, I didn't leave room for God's will for my future.  I needed to trust in his plan for my life.

During this time, A FOCUS missionary asked if I had thought about being a missionary. A little reluctant I decided to think about it. Discerning through prayer it became clear that my future motives were very self-defined, and I needed to learn how to trust in God’s divine, master plan. FOCUS was the opportunity that I needed. I said yes!

Ever since than, God has been continually reminding and blessing me with faith & trust in him. Anything is possible with faith in God.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to trust in the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
