Where I serve

God has called me to serve college students at Eastern Washington University! I am so excited and grateful to love the students there. You'll typically find me hanging out at Tawanka, the Newman Center, or walking around campus. I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life -- I think you should hear it sometime! Let's hang, I'd love to share it with you :)

My Story

I call myself a cradle Catholic…..well kind of anyways. Growing up my Sundays varied from attending different protestant churches, Mass, or nothing at all. I guess I believed there was a higher power, but it was not a priority. God Bless my grandma who left money for me to receive the Sacraments when she passed away. Out of respect for her, I did them. During Confirmation, I recognized the Catholic Church contained the Truth about the Creator of the universe and myself. Despite this knowledge, I had a misguided view of love so my personal relationship with Jesus was hindered because I spent more time "earning" His love rather than spending time with Him (which He sooooo prefers).

When I got to college, I was a burnt out overachiever searching for something to finally fuel me, and fell into the "typical college lifestyle". I was shocked at how much worse off I felt after the temporary pleasures went away, but would continuously try to trick myself into thinking this time would be different (being enslaved by sin is real and not cool). However, my engineering brain knew that this logic wasn't working so I went to what I knew was True, the Church. Slowly, but surely, through the best friends I made at the California State University- Long Beach Newman club, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and a patient and loving God, I grew to not only know but believe in and follow Jesus and his bride, the Catholic Church.

So how did I find out about FOCUS being on a non-FOCUS campus? I met some missionaries at Faith Olympics, a fun event Newman Clubs in Southern California would occasionally participate in.  I kept in touch with one of the missionaries I met and he helped me join Digital Campus. Having someone digitally form me (before it was thing with Covid-19 lol) was so amazing and I grew even closer to Jesus! Out of an overflow of His love, I wanted to bring others to Jesus. I am so excited to walk with women at a college campus and lead them away from the lies of the Devil and towards freedom through Christ.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
