Where I serve

God has called me to serve college students. I can be found amidst the hustle and bustle of the University working amidst student in the Surbeck campus center, playing yard games on the Quad, praying at the Newman Center, or drinking tea in the Caribou on campus! The Lord has shown me that He has made me His own, and He's made my story a pretty cool one. If you would like to hear more, you can call, text, or email. I would love to talk more and hear your story!

My Story

Growing up as a cradle Catholic, I knew from early on that I was called to be a saint. But like many kids growing up Catholic, that meant I simply knew about  God, His Church, and how much we are loved. Though I wouldn't trade my upbringing for the world, there was something missing.

I couldn't tell you the specific moment when I first encountered Jesus (besides Baptism of course). Like many Christians, Jesus has been working on my heart for a long time and my conversion was very gradual. Much of my encountering the Person of Jesus and His goodness is accredited to all those in college who invited me to go deeper in my faith and to share it with others. This is including three FOCUS missionaries who gently and persistently invited me to Bible study and into discipleship formation as I was a student in college. They showed me what St. Paul spoke of in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Imitate me as I imitate Christ." They helped show me the freedom, peace, and joy that comes from following Jesus, following the example of the early disciples in the Church (see Acts of the Apostles 2:42). They taught me and walked with me to understand and encounter the Sacraments, Traditions in the Church, prayer in daily life, and fellowship with other Christians in deeper ways than I had previously known. I came to personally know of His redeeming love for me and all His beloved sons and daughters!

Now, I'm taking all that I have learned and experienced from grade school, college, FOCUS's training and my years on campus, and I am again able to serve in the great state of South Dakota! I am a sixth year, full-time missionary, and for the third year as a Team Director at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD. Praise the Lord!

As a missionary I  have the privilege of:

-leading Bible studies

-teaching students how to pray and have a personal relationship with Jesus and helping them find their place amidst His Church

-leading women in discipleship formation - to inspire and equip them for lifelong Catholic mission for wherever they go in life

-outreaching to the students, meeting them where they are in life, and inviting them to be part of something more

-teaching and encouraging students to do and teach all of these things listed above!

-directing and encouraging the three other missionaries on the SD Mines team

In my own heart, God has allowed me the grace to know and love Him and His Church, now I am being called every day to serve those around me through the mission of FOCUS. I want to help raise up this generation's saints, and then to teach them how to raise up saint-makers as well!

Being a witness to Christ requires an ongoing relationship with Jesus. This means that our ministry is centered on prayer. Please feel free to contact me with any prayer intentions!

Yours in Christ through Mary,

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
