Where I serve

I am serving my second year on mission with FOCUS at the University of Nebraska at Omaha! I’m excited to continue sharing life with the students on this campus and to invite them to say “yes” to the immense joy, love, and adventure that only stems from a life lived fully alive in Christ.

My Story

Upon starting college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I was an Honors student, pursuing a career in the health field, and looking forward to being highly involved on campus. I also knew that my faith was important to me, and I did not want to fall away from that in college. I joined Gamma Phi Beta sorority and also sought out the community at the Newman Center. I was surprised, but deeply inspired, by the number of young Catholics who were living their faith so radically and vibrantly. I had been Catholic my whole life, but through the witness of FOCUS missionaries and my friends at the Newman Center, I quickly saw that there was a deeper relationship with Christ and a high call for my life that I didn’t even know I was missing. But I wanted it.

I began attending a bible study within Gamma Phi and meeting with a student missionary for discipleship early in my freshman year, and then attended FOCUS’s SEEK conference during Christmas break. Through all of these people and experiences the Lord placed in my life, I was overwhelmed with the beauty of the Catholic Church and renewed in my identity as the Father’s beloved daughter, who was made for an extraordinary purpose.

While Gamma Phi Beta undoubtedly put me in the midst of some of the most talented and high-achieving women on campus and the Greek community gave me some of my most treasured friendships, I also learned through the Greek system that many of our brothers and sisters who seem to have things “all figured out” are actually starving for something that will give them lasting fulfillment.

Throughout the next four years, I continued to grow in my personal relationship with Christ through mission trips, leading bible studies in Gamma Phi, and serving on the FOCUS Greek executive board. I became increasingly convicted that that something is actually a Someone and that the framework of virtue, shared life, and mentorship which are pillars of the Greek system is an incredible opportunity for living and sharing the love of Christ with those closest to us.

As my senior year approached, it seemed to be a natural progression for me to apply for FOCUS staff since my heart had been so captivated by the way the Lord transformed my heart through my experiences and relationships with FOCUS and the Greek community. I am humbled and honored to be an instrument in the hands of the Father as He tirelessly seeks to love and heal the hearts of the men and women at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and reveal to them the unique purpose He has for each of their lives.

Your Impact

As a missionary, I have the opportunity to rely on the spiritual and financial support of my team of mission partners. The mission of FOCUS has never been more urgent or necessary, and I desire for as many people as possible to come on mission with me through financial giving and prayers so their generosity can be blessed by God the Father.

If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment. I would be honored to meet with you to learn more about your life, share some of mine, and work together in in this mission with you.
