Where I serve

God has called me to serve at the University of North Dakota! I am excited for this opportunity to radically place my trust in the Lord as I move to across the country and go on mission to build up His kingdom. On campus, you can find me at the Newman Center, leading Bible study, playing sports, spending time with our Lord, and doing my best not to freeze! I'm excited for what the Lord has in store!

My Story

My story is one of God’s providence and grace. It is a journey wherein which the seeds of faith were planted, cultivated, and gradually came to fruition. Like many, I was raised Catholic, but the faith did not penetrate the seams of my life; it remained on the surface until my sophomore year of high school. At that point in time, my family entered into a period of great suffering, financially and familially. Through the grace of God, this epoch of suffering brought about a corresponding conversion within my family and within my own soul. Over the course of the next two years, I entered into my own chapter of purification and suffering as I encountered injury after injury while playing the sport I loved: soccer. As my dreams of playing at a collegiate level were stripped from my life, I began to wrestle with my identity. Though I had been falsely placing my worth in soccer, I came to realize that my identity does not come from what I do but whose I am. I am a child of God, His daughter, who is seen, loved, and understood.

Convicted of this truth, I set out onto Arizona State’s campus with the desire to continue to grow in my faith as I pursued my bachelor’s degree. Throughout my time in college, the Lord provided me with a beautiful community of men and women who formed me, supported me, strengthened me, and loved me. Through them, I encountered the Risen Lord. Not only was Christ loving me and healing me through this community, but He was showing me the necessity of community, the necessity of accompaniment. As I was being built up in this community, however, the Lord kept calling me to go out. I spent three years serving as a core leader for a high school youth group, and four summers serving at a catechetical program called Totus Tuus. Though this call to evangelize and this call to go out on mission initially seemed out of my element, it has now become integral to who I am. And it’s what we, as Christians, are all called to (Mt 28:18-20).

As I entered into my senior year of college, I was not sure what the Lord was calling me to do after graduation. Through prayer and discernment, I began to recognize the Lord calling me to serve as a FOCUS missionary, to go out into the deep and to be a co-worker with Him to win souls on the college campus. I am excited to encounter students in the midst of the lies and confusion of our culture and to journey with them to Truth, to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your Impact

As a FOCUS missionary, I have the privilege of encountering college students and journeying with them in the faith. However, my mission does not stop there. When I said "yes" to FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on others for spiritual and financial support. If you would like to accompany me on this journey and be a part of the work the Lord is doing on campus, please reach out! It would be an honor to meet you and to have your support on this great adventure!
