Where I serve
I’m so excited to be serving at Western Kentucky University this year!
I was so blessed to grow up in a faithful Catholic home. Throughout my high school and college years, I personally grew closer to Christ and sought to understand what it meant to live as a Catholic in today’s world. I was blessed with many amazing role models who actively showed me how to love people well and live out the faith. In college, living a truly Christian life became even more of a reality as I pursued truth through the liberal arts at Christendom College. Life at Christendom enabled me to grow in authentic friendships with others and in friendship with Christ, through my academic studies, spiritual life and community life. Even more importantly, I began to see the necessity of carrying this formation with me into the world, so that others may also encounter Christ. It saddened me to see people my own age attempting to be fulfilled by all the world has to offer and being left empty and lonely instead of fulfilled and loved. As Mother Teresa said, the greatest poverty in our world is the poverty of loneliness, and more people are dying for a little love than for food. My desire is to be a vessel of Christ’s love to the lonely on college campuses, and to share with them a life which is centered on Christ and rooted in the pursuit of truth, beauty and goodness.
It is a great joy to be able to serve the young people of today by sharing Christ’s love with them. I am able to do this through the spiritual and financial support of mission partners who participate in the mission of changing the lives of college students. I would be honored to have you join my support team. God bless you!
