I am serving our mission through the Formation & Training Team in Denver! I am a Project Manager for our team, mostly working on Team Director Training and our 6-Week New Staff Training! I love working behind the scenes so that our teachers, chaplains, and other leadership can prepare our missionaries for their time on campus with students. Lord has gifted me a knack for problem-solving and creating systems that will help this massive event flow smoothly for both the leaders and the missionaries. I'm excited to see how my service impacts our mission to make disciples of all nations.
When I was in high school, I had a radical encounter with God's love through the Mass. I carried that experience with me into college, but it slowly faded as I got more involved in sorority life, residence life, and even student senate. I remained faithful to the Church, but I got caught up in the busyness of being a "successful student." In my last year of college, I led a bible study of freshmen ladies, and it changed how I viewed my role in the success of God's plan of reaching souls for His Kingdom. I was made to be His instrument. Instead of trying to do work for Him, I was able to let Him do His work through me. In four years on campus at three different universities with very different cultures, this has always rung true. It can be true for all missionaries and students as well. This is exactly why FOCUS exists: to build relationships with students and introduce them to Jesus Christ and his Church, empowering them to do the same for others.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus and now at the Denver Support Center. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you. I'd be honored to share this mission with you!
