Where I serve

Country roads, take me home! I am blessed and excited to be back at West Virginia University for my second year of campus missionary work.

My Story

Love Him totally, who gave Himself totally for your love. -St. Clare of Assisi

I count it a beautiful gift that I grew up in a family of great faith and involvement in the Church. Through most of high school, however, I understood my personal relationship with Jesus as consoling philosophical ideals and periodic, profound experiences in prayer. I could talk about Him all day (and loved it) but did not know that He, our Maker, cared for me personally. And because of this, I didn’t really know myself or my heart, and I struggled to truly love the people in my life well.

By the time I entered college, I deeply believed that every single person has a spiritual life, and I realized the tragedy that it is easily neglected and quickly dismissed. A great danger of immersion in a culture of constant stimulation and instant gratification is desensitization to the good, true, and beautiful; ultimately, the truth that God Himself is offering us His love!

During my undergraduate studies at Mount St. Mary’s University, God further transformed by heart. I was happily involved in campus ministry and FOCUS, and realized that I was changing for the better through a deeper prayer life and authentic, vulnerable friendships. My heart was coming more and more alive.

At the same time, I realized that, like me, many students were also looking for good friends, real love, and purpose, but were turning to grades, success, drinking, acceptance and relationships to fill this desire. I started seeing such hearts in this “crisis-mode” everywhere, and I wanted to give more of myself to walking with these students, especially my younger sisters in Christ. So, here I am! God has asked me to go on mission, learn how to love His people, and share with them the life I have found.

At college, students are questioning their values, the importance of God, the role of relationships and the meaning of life like never before. Their decisions will shape their hearts, and determine their fulfillment and the happiness of their future families, companies, employees and patients. I am on a mission to call college women higher- to virtue, wholeness of heart, and abundant life, in a culture of noise, despair and distraction.

Your Impact

I will give generously of my time to be fully present and radically available to students while on campus. To invest in the Kingdom of God in this way, I depend entirely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. I will not set foot on that campus alone. I would be honored to invite you on my growing team of mission partners. You are fellow workers in the Truth! (3 John 1:8)

Please feel free to reach out to me by email ([email protected]), or call or text me at 240-772-2190 with the best way to contact you. I would love to set up a meeting with you to share all that God is doing in this mission.
