I spent the first 5 years of my time on staff serving at Iowa State University. Currently, I am in my 2nd Year as Regional Director with FOCUS. I work with Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan University, Wayne State University in Detroit, the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Ohio Northern University, and the University of Akron. I am in my 7th year with FOCUS and am currently residing in Urbandale, Iowa while remotely for the FOCUS Denver Support Center.

My initial involvement in FOCUS was a simple invite to bible study and to a retreat about the Holy Spirit. I left my first retreat knowing that the Lord was calling me to give up a life of selfishness and that I desired to know Him more. I struggled with how to make the Lord apart of my everyday life instead of just having incredible retreat experiences.  It was my Junior Year of college at the University of South Dakota when I met a FOCUS Missionary who really taught me how to pray with scripture, fall in love with the sacraments, and share with others how the Lord worked in my life.

Jesus Christ invites me to lay my life down for the Church daily and more specifically as a Regional Director accompanying missionaries in Michigan and Ohio. As a missionary, I get to remind the missionaries I serve and college students I meet of our Lord’s personal love for them. I get to share with them the good news that Jesus Christ desires a personal relationship with all people. This truth continues to bring me joy that I desire to share with others.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
