Sarah Potter

“Our Lord does not so much look at the greatness of our actions, or even at their difficulty, as at the love with which we do them.”

St. Therese of Lisieux (Patron saint of missions)

Where I serve

The Lord has called me to serve the students on Drexel University's campus in Philadelphia, PA.

My Story

Coming in to college I was not Catholic and it was during my five wonderful years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison that I discovered the beauty of the Church and a personal relationship with Christ. The first two years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison proved to be a very isolating time for me as I struggled to recognize my dignity and worth and to feel loved for who I was. It wasn’t until I encountered the joy and love of the students and FOCUS Missionaries on UW Madison’s campus that I felt chosen and known. Since then I have realized that the joy I saw in these men and women was from them knowing their worth as a son or daughter of God, and now I want to reveal this to students who struggle like I did on the college campus.

Your Impact

St. Therese of Lisieux once said: “Some give by going to the missions. Some go by giving to the missions. Without both, there is no mission.”

This is a mission for the entire body of Christ, and although I have specifically been called to step in to the mission field, I need others to go on mission with me through their prayers and financial support. As a missionary I am responsible for fundraising 100% of my mission budget with the help of individuals like you. I cannot do the work God has called me to without your partnership. Please consider joining my monthly support team with a financial donation and your prayers. By supporting me, you’re not just donating money, you are joining me in the mission to build up leaders, change the world for Christ, and save souls.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you and God bless!
