Where I serve

God has called me to serve the college students of The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga! I'm not only excited to live life with these students, but to do so in such a beautiful part of the country, located right in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. God is so good and I don't know if I could have picked a better spot myself. Just look at that!

My Story

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. As I was finishing college, I became friends with the FOCUS missionaries on my campus, who eventually invited me to apply for staff. Feeling called to greater things but not entirely familiar with FOCUS as an apostolate, I applied to be a missionary. I fell in love with mission of FOCUS (which is ultimately the mission of the Church) and became excited to live the life of full-time missionary. After interviewing in November 2018, I got a call two weeks later and they said... "NO."

I didn't receive an offer. But this didn't stop me! I contacted those in charge, asked for feedback, and started my pursuit. After attending SEEK2019, I quit my job, moved back home, and started shadowing the missionaries at my campus doing my best to live the missionary life. I started mentoring a student and we even went on a mission trip together. After interviewing a second time in April 2019, I received a call during Holy Week, at which point I was offered a position as a full-time missionary! God allowed me to truly pursue this life and become a missionary at heart, not simply because the title or position.

Jesus transformed my life and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. We look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. Mission partners allow us to give freely of ourselves, form new friendships with those who support us, and bring more people into the mission field. Changing the world will take the whole Church, not just an individual. You are needed and God has called ALL of us to be on mission (Matthew 28:18-20). Please contact me If you are interested in partnering with me. Let me know of the best way to reach you and we can schedule an appointment. I would be honored to share this mission with you. May God bless you abundantly!
