This year I’m back in Duesseldorf as a second year missonary. Duesseldorf is the capital of the state North-Rhine Westphalia and belongs to the Archdiocese of Cologne. I’m looking forward to meet new people, get to know the stuendts from last year better and mentor them with new excitment. I want to invite others to get to know Jesus Christ (more deeply) by being a witness of his tranforming power and abundant love with my whole life. I’m excited to get to know the students, meet them where they are and walk with them, inviting them to join the greatest adventure of their life.

As most of the Germans I was baptised after my birth, recieved the Eucarist the first time by the age of 8 years and got confiermd five years afterwards. As a child I sometimes prayed to God, but I never knew Jesus. When I started studying in the year of 2015 in Passau I didn’t believe in God at all and thought the church would be some cray old institution with big issues. That changend when I started to get to know people who actually believed in Christ, and then even more when the first FOCUS missionries arrived in Passau in the summer of 2018. At SEEK 2019 Christ reveald his heart, that is broken wide open in love for us. Ever since then I have known that I am not going to look for abundant life and love anywhere else.

As my love for Jesus grew, so did my love for the church. The situation in the church in Germany isn’t very easy right now. I think one of the reasons the church is struggling is because people do not encounter the love of God in the treasures of the sacraments and his care for us in the Chruch’s teachings anymore. I hope that the Lord will open many doors to theses encounters through my ministry. Starting with a few buring hearts and through spiritual multiplication spreading over all of Germany.
