This is my fourth year with FOCUS and I'm grateful to return to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln for a third year!
In 1 John, it says: "We love because He first loved us." This is why I get up in the morning - I LOVE people. Everyday I am amazed that I was created by Love for love and so was everyone around me. And on top of that, our job on this earth is to love the people around us so that they might know the love of Christ and live eternally with him.
I have been incredibly blessed to know Christ's love for most of my life and it's been the little moments along the way when He called me into deeper relationship with Him that shape the way I love others. During my time at Hillsdale College (a small school in southern Michigan), I not only learned more about who God was, but also more about the life he was calling me to live - a life filled with love, fun, and redemptive suffering or, in other words, an ADVENTURE. Through older girls in my dorm, faithful Catholic women who invited me to Bible Study, and loyal friends, I learned what it meant to run after Christ and listen to His voice. Through honest, fun-loving roommates and patient, encouraging sorority sisters, I learned to love people who I probably never would have sought out on my own, but who were the very same people who taught me the most about what it meant to share the Gospel. As I began to realize the urgency of the call to share the Gospel with all nations, God gave me the desire to show college students not only that they are worthy of love because they are a child of God, but also the Truth that has the power to transform their lives.
God is writing a beautiful story for each of us and I am so excited to watch the adventure unfold.
This is not simply about my story and the call that has been placed on my heart. I have not been called to go by myself, but rather to go with the support of others who have a desire to walk with me as we seek to imitate Christ while inviting others to imitate Him as well. We are in a battle for souls that is being waged throughout our world, but especially on our college campuses. There is an urgent need for the Gospel to fill the darkness that students encounter in their lives on a daily basis. It is by your spiritual and financial support that I am able to develop authentic friendships with students and invite them into relationship with Christ. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on …
