Where I serve

Colorado didn't want me to leave just yet.

Going into my third year on staff, I have gotten the great privilege to start a new mission at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. Stepping into a new position I get to lead our team in sharing the Gospel. I am so excited to see how the Lord uses us bring him to these awesome students.

My Story

Well, it all begins on March 8th, 1993... just kidding I'll spare you the long version.

I was born and raised Catholic but never really encountered Christ. My mom persuaded me to get confirmed my junior year of high school.I came out of it with a few friends but still no faith. In the summer of 2011, I decided to go to World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I had an amazing moment in Eucharistic adoration with Pope Benedict, where I fully opened myself up to Christ and surrendered everything to him.

Getting back I was so changed! My mom was a bit weirded out about the whole thing, in a good way. I decided not to go to college that year and instead took that time to discern what this change means. I met so many strong Catholic men, and they were real, everyday guys. I got into a FOCUS Bible study at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I wasn't a student or anything. It was a very powerful year.

This brings me to Benedictine College. #RavensWillSoar. My first year was rough. I struggled a lot to feel God's presence in my life, even though he was definitely there. I got into the party scene and was just overall not really happy. But I also got into another FOCUS bible study. The missionaries at BC would play a huge role in keeping my head straight. Even when I was doing stupid stuff, or skipping out on Bible study, these guys would stay committed to me and my spiritual health. They never gave up on me. It's incredible how much maturing I did in college. Towards the end of my time at BC, I started to see the effect these men had in my life and I wanted to be that!! And that's what brought me to be a FOCUS missionary.

If you stuck through that whole story, here's a little reward!

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
